Product terms
These terms govern use of the Credence MCP connector at mcp.credence-software.com with an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT. They do not govern the public marketing website. That site has its own terms of use. If your organization has a written Credence agreement, that agreement controls when it conflicts with these terms.
Who may connect
You need a Credence user account. The connector acts as you. It can read, and when you grant write access, create or update, only the records your Credence role already allows. Connecting does not add portfolio access, bypass a review lock, or enable a workflow the connector does not expose.
What the connector does
The connector answers requests by calling Credence tools. It does not delete records, submit or approve workflows, post journal entries, or move money. Payment details are excluded from connector writes. Your assistant is a separate service. Credence does not control how that assistant phrases a request or presents a result. You are responsible for the instructions you give it and for checking a result before you rely on it.
Connector output is not accounting, legal, tax, or investment advice.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the connector to reach records outside your Credence permissions.
- Do not use it to break the law, interfere with the service, or submit malware.
- Do not present the connector as able to pay vendors, transfer funds, or approve accounting entries.
Assistant providers
Claude and ChatGPT are third-party services. Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of those products. Credence is not responsible for an assistant's availability or for content the assistant generates from connector results.
Suspension
We may suspend the connector, or a connection, if we believe it is being misused, it creates a security risk, or we are required to do so. Your Credence account remains governed by your organization's agreement.
Disclaimers and liability
The connector is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Credence is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, goodwill, or data, arising from use of the connector. If no written Credence agreement applies, Credence's aggregate liability for claims arising from these terms is limited to the fees you paid Credence for the product in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars if no such fees were paid. A written customer agreement's liability terms replace this cap when that agreement applies.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would require another jurisdiction's law. The state and federal courts in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes arising from these terms, except where a written customer agreement selects a different forum or applicable law gives you a non-waivable right.
